MHz Networks broadcasts a wealth of relevant world-based programming via ten 24/7 channels aired through digital terrestrial broadcast, Comcast, Cox and RCN cable, local "must carry" DishNetwork and DirecTV satellite, G-19 satellite and Verizon FiOS telco. MHz Networks broadcasts ten distinct full-time digital channels in the Washington, D.C. metro area, comprised of premier broadcasters from throughout the globe.

MHz Networks digital channels are viewable over-the-air on channels 30.1-30.10. Viewers are able to experience a multitude of perspectives, not readily available in the U.S., with international news, documentaries, series, sports, music and more; all for free (http://mhznetworks.org/mhzindc/broadcastindc/).

30.1-30.5 are broadcast from the Fairfax County tower (WNVC) in Merrifield, VA and MHz Networks 6-10 (30.6-30.10) are broadcast from the Prince William Country (WNVT) tower near Quantico/I-95 South.

MHz Worldview is 30.1, NHK World TV is 30.2, Metro Chinese Network is 30.3, RT is 30.4, Al Jazeera English is 30.5, MHz Native is 30.6, France 24 is 30.7, RT Espanol is 30.8, Arirang TV is 30.9 and Ethiopian TV is 30.10.

International Newscasts

All teachers of foreign languages should take advantage of the daily international newscasts on MHz. MHz is the only station in the Metro area broadcasting over 20 newscasts from all over the world. Most of the newscasts are live, so the information is always up to date—perfect for current event discussions in your classroom. Newscasts from Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Spain make up MHz's daily lineup. Weekly magazine shows from countries including Germany, India, Ireland and South Africa air on all eight MHz channels.
